Course goals
Why is it useful to obtain the TOGAF® Business Architecture – Foundation level?
Business Architecture is the Enterprise Architecture domain that represents the business strategy, the capabilities required to deliver it, the value-creating processes (value streams), the organizational structure, and the information in a single, integrated model to support the achievement of strategic goals and alignment of operations. Further information about the TOGAF® Standard »The skills gained will help with:
- mapping and prioritizing business capabilities,
- creating and analyzing value streams,
- preparing organization maps to visualize responsibilities, units, and roles,
- creating information maps to support business processes and decision-making,
- developing business scenarios to support strategic decision-making.
Skills and Perspectives Gained
By completing the course, participants will be able to:- understand the place and role of Business Architecture within the TOGAF® Standard, 10th Edition architecture domains,
- create and interpret capability maps,
- understand and model value streams,
- apply organization mapping techniques to depict organizational structures and responsibilities,
- create information maps to identify business data and their relationships,
- develop and apply business scenarios within the ADM,
- integrate Business Architecture outputs into other architecture views in the relevant ADM phases.
